Here's some challenges for 2012 you might be interested in. On Saturday 14th January, starting at 5pm, is a cyclocross event at Midvale SpeedDome. CycloCross link. Day pass entries are available for $20, or just be a spectator to learn about the sport and have some laughs.
On Sunday 21st of January, at Canningvale there is a criterium event ( criterium course ). Our juniors can ride (rather than race) around the course to get some experience, and seniors are welcome to race. If you are interested please let me know so I can work out race permits in time.
On Sunday 15th April we will enter the 3 dams challenge. Normally a 2 person teams event, we so far have 5 booked to ride as a group and support each other. We have a collective weight of 455kg which we plan to drop 10% off by 15 April. We need an even number, so feel free to join us and tackle some hills.
And Yes, there is a plan to ride on New Years Day. Do we want to do the normal Yanchep-Two Rocks route or have a more social ride southbound?
PCS is a road cycling club that formed around a weekly ride that supports participation, charities, and coffee. We ride every Sunday, leaving from the corner of Marmion & Jindalee Blvd, JINDALEE. Rides depart currently at 6.10am onwards. Rides include TWO ROCKS & YANCHEP, and return to Cafe de Carlos, Butler. A supported teen ride is also available. New road riders are welcome, lycra or not, meet at 6.10(Jindalee) if unsure.
Southbound has been a favorite
ReplyDeleteI am interested in participating in all BWA (3 dams) races in 2012, if the other kids are doing them.
ReplyDeleteCan we start early on the rides?
ReplyDeleteHi all, if you have some time on your hands over the Xmas period – have a look at this video - the 1962 Tour de France http://vimeo.com/21306164
